MEET OUR PASTOR
PASTOR MIKE CARTER

Man Of God…Husband…Father…Visionary Leader Entrepreneur. Pastor Mike Carter wears many hats in service to the kingdom of God. Born and raised in Plaquemine, LA, Pastor Mike is a 1998 graduate of Plaquemine High School! At the age of 22, he received his calling into the ministry and became a licensed minister at the age of 24. At 27, he became the youth Pastor of Unity of Faith Christian Church, under the leadership of Pastor Wade B. Mulmore. In 2010, at the age of 30, Mike became an ordained Pastor and founded Liberty Christian Center Church. At this same time, he would meet his now wife, Rasheedah Carter. They were married July 6, 2013 and have been married for 13 years. God instructed them to step away from Pastoring for a season and in that time, they became the parents of a son, Mekhi Carter, who is now 5 years old. Pastor Mike and Rasheedah are also the owners of Carter Studios, a thriving media company specializing in premium visual content, as well as Carter Premium Realty, as a licensed realtor. Having stepped away from ministry in 2015, they both are preparing to enter back into Pastoring, with plans to plant New Birth Church in February of 2027. Pastor Mike’s passion for God’s presence and His people are the driving force behind His ministry in the church and in the marketplace. His mission is to shine the light of Jesus through every God ordained endeavor he puts his hands to.

MEET OUR FIRST LADY
Woman Of God…wife…mother…daughter…sister….friend. Born and raised in Baton , LA, Rasheedah is A 2005 graduate of Glen Oaks High School & A 2010 graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, with a B.A in Social Work & a minor in psychology. At the age of 7 she was baptized & at age 17, she officially & intentionally gave her life to Christ. At age 22 She was filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Shortly after, she would begin serving in ministry alongside now husband, Pastor Mike Carter, at Liberty Christian Center Church (LCCC). The 2 were Married on July 6, 2013, opening the door for Continued ministry and even started a flourishing women’s ministry through LCCC, called Daughters of Destiny. Rasheedah hosted multiple women’s events and enjoyed singing on the worship team as well. After God led Ps.Mike and Rasheedah to sit for a season and shut down LCCC, Rasheedah continued to visit local churches with husband, Ps.Mike. She continued to serve on praise teams, began to act in stage plays through local theaters, and continued to serve her community, as a Social Services Worker/Advocate/Case Manager, at various Case Management agencies and later through the State of Louisiana Dept. of Health. After years of ministry, sitting and serving, Mike and Rasheedah were blessed with their 1st child, Mekhi Carter, March of 2021. Mekhi’s arrival was such a blessing as both Mike and Rasheedah would lose their fathers while pregnant and shortly after Mekhi’s birth. The 3 of them have learned what it means to live and love through it all, and God has continued to bless, keep and strengthen them. They’ve started family businesses, including Carter Studios, and Carter Premium Realty. Having stepped away from ministry (LCCC) in 2015, they both are now preparing to enter back into Pastoring, with plans to plant New Birth Church in February of 2027. Pastor Rasheedah is looking forward to serving Gods people/children , alongside her husband, yet again. Her passion & love for God’s presence, His people and His promises have never wavered. She is eager to pour into the lives of all who walk through the doors of New Birth Church.
